Kinglass Medical Practice

Welcome to Kinglass Medical Practice, a non-limited Partnership of two part-time General Practitioners.

Our premises are owned by Falkirk Council and we share them with Falkirk Council Services. We have suitable access and facilities for users who may have disabilities.

Cross Border Practice

Kinglass is a cross border Practice with NHS Forth Valley and NHS Lothian Health Boards. The Practice accepts patients from Bo’ness and Blackness who fall under the umbrella of NHS Forth Valley, and patients North of the M9 border with Linlithgow who fall under NHS Lothian.

NHS Forth Valley COVID Vaccination Programme

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) If you think you have coronavirus or flu-like symptoms, DO NOT ATTEND the Practice premises.

If you have a new and persistent cough, or fever, or loss of normal sense of smell or taste, you must self isolate and treat yourself at home in line with National Guidance that you can find on NHS Inform Scotland web pages, including how to access a test for COVID-19. If you feel you need further medical advice or assessment about worsening coronavirus symptoms then contact NHS24 on telephone number 111.

Although our front doors remain on audio intercom access for infection control purposes, we are open for non-COVID healthcare as we have been since lockdown began in March. Please continue to telephone the surgery first for any non-COVID related enquiries and staff will advise on how we can help you.

We apologise for any inconvenience our current operating procedures may cause during this challenging time for all of us. Please be assured this is to help protect us to continue to stay 'open' at these premises to answer your calls for assistance and still be able to offer you face-to-face consultations if these are needed.

Follow the quick link on the right hand side of this page for more information about our latest Practice COVID procedures including a link to NHS Inform webpages with guidance for Scottish patients which is updated regularly.

EMAIL Address for Repeat Medicines

Please note that NHS Scotland are in the process of migrating email from the NHSmail to a new domain:

From 18th November 2020 forwarding of emails from the old addresses will cease.

Requests for repeat medicines should now be sent to:  and this is working with immediate effect.

Calls with Administrators

Please note that telephone conversations with our Medical Administrators are recorded for quality and patient safety purposes.

Reception Desk Opening Hours 8.30am - 6.00pm

The Practice has an automated check-in system for patients to use before our Reception Desk is staffed from 08.30am.  This is to allow administration staff to safely concentrate on answering telephone requests for urgent on-the-day appointments and processing any Out-of-Hours/overnight contacts for the doctors to review. However, this service is temporarily suspended during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Practice Website

We hope you find our webpages contain useful information about the health services we offer and how to access them. There are useful links to information provided by other websites.  Some of the site content comes as part of a templated design for GP Practices across the UK though we have aimed to modify and include information that we feel is more useful locally.

Appointment Reminders

The Practice operates a system of texting appointment confirmations and reminders. Please ensure you keep us updated with a current mobile number. If you prefer not to be contacted in this way by the Practice, please let us know as soon as possible.
