People with Disabilities or Communication Problems
A large print or an audio cassette version the practice Leaflet can be arranged.
The Practice premises are purpose built on one level and suitable for people with disabilities.
A hearing loop is in place and a wheelchair is available - ask at reception.
There are designated disabled parking spaces and a drop off/pick up zone is located nearest to the entrance of the Centre.
People with Communication Problems
None of the GP’s at this Practice currently speaks fluently in a language other than English.
If your first language is not English, if you use BSL or other forms of communication then you might find it difficult to access health services. You might also find it difficult to discuss your health needs with a health professional.
It is not ideal that you ask a family member or friend to interpret for you. Doing so could compromise your confidentiality or the accuracy of the information given by the health professional.
Patients can therefore access NHS Forth Valley’s Interpreter Services. The interpreters used by the NHS have accredited qualifications to provide word-for-word interpretation between patients and health professionals. They are committed to a code of ethics, which includes maintaining the confidentiality of the patient.
